A day in Bandera, TX.

Some highlights from the trip:
1. Antique Mall: Such a treat! Two stories of odds and ends, tons of great Indian relics and great costume jewlery.
2. Quirks of the town: Bandera is known as the Cowboy Capitol, so the entire downtown has a Western feel. There were men recreating a western shoot out on horses downtown! The Bandera General Store {second photo} had delicious old school floats and malts, and great antique candy. There were scorpion and worm pops {bottom}!
3. Favorite purchase of the trip was a great handmade Native American woven bag with leather straps {third photo}. I fly alot, so this is a perfect travelers bag.
4. Grotto. Grill.

The Grotto Grill has been my favorite hill country restaurant since my first visit, last summer after horseback riding in the hill country for my birthday. Its incredibly unique for the country because it is completely organic. The restaurant is covered in art and is run by a close knit group of young friends. I absolutely adore the atmosphere and love put into their food. Other than incredible food, they make the best Iced Chai Latte's I've ever had.
