first week in firenze

Despite fending off a cold with a lethal amount of Nyquil, my first week in Firenze has been magical.
I met my idol (more on that later), eaten way too much bread and not enough gelato
(you can never have enough gelato)

I'm surrounded by incredibly talented people, and have been lucky enough to know them all as friends.
Days are spent exploring Florence through art,
Nights are spent exploring life with wine.

Florence has a kinetic tranquility.
The city is full of talented and creative people that enjoy la dolce vita as it was meant to be enjoyed:
by savoring every moment slowly.

It is peaceful, yet creatively restless in a way that allows you to slow down and enjoy your glass, while your brain is frantic with excitement about the things you are creating and have yet to create.

Plus, I found the Mercato Centrale, which is the Florence equivalent to Barcelona's Mercat de la Boqueria. I'm in heaven.

  1. Hi Veronica. I like the new layout even though I believe there should be one very small touch of color somewhere, for example in the title of pages. Otherwise, it is indeed better then before.

As for Tuscany, I believe some of your prose about this place are in fact pure poetry. If 'days are spent exploring Florence through art and nights exploring life with wine', then readers will probably keep following you through both.

Keep writing daily. It is impressive and you'll end up a celebrated writer.
